2 new Motoro Rays

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I got a motoro in with the same kind of burns on its belly but mine was skin and bones. It took about 2 weeks for the red to fully go away. Best thing to do is keep changing about half of the water in that 30 gallon daily. I had mine in a 30 gallon Q tank for about a month before moving it to the main tank. As far as food, they will not be able to resist ghost shrimp. If you get them to eat that then try small pieces of earthworm.

pristine water will take care of healing it up.... you could add a lil salt to help the rays slime coat... nice motoros

They did not eat yet but there are no bones showing or anything. I am going to feed them shortly. I got them through a person online. 1 is a male and 1 is a female. They are in a small 30 gallon tank now but I am picking up a 180 on Sunday and if need be I can move them to a 75 but that is overstocked at the moment and has gravel in it.

30 gallon tank.....that is not good, you will have to do daily waterchanges to keep the water in check! Make sure if you get that 180 you cycle it or use a cycled filter on it...

I would change like 50% a day until you get that 180g.. and you might want to buy some Bio-spira or something to cycle that new tank..
