2 or 3 canister filters?

Howdy,

2x Eheim 2262 (identical filling) + 1x 2213 (surface extractor) on a 220 gal

I find it hard to tell one filter to do mech only and the other filter to do bio only. The mech media will inevitably be colonized by BB and the bio media will inevitably hold back floaties and clog if not preceded by mech ... :nilly:

I run 3 on my 90 in addition to a wet dry and 2 plus 2 hobs on my 60. I run mech and bio in all. Makes cleaning easier as I rotate the filters on opposite months and I always have a full matured filter ready to go on any new tank. I like redundancy.

i run 2 Fx5s on my 330. each has polishers on the bottom and bio in the top two racks.

Are you aware you pads are around the wrong way. The pads should be before the bio media to prevent clogging !

I am not sure that mine count as a canister

2 nu-clear. (1-bio and 1- mech with a polisher kind of) 1 pump moving 1200 gph on my 110 corner tank
