2 Part Question On Bichirs..

1) Is a bichir ok with fish like kissing gouramis, bala sharks, or any others you can name so i dont make a mistake =)

2) And lastly what bichir is most best for the beginner im assuming a senegal or ornate right? thnx for letting me know

ok so that raises a newer question for me how far can its mouth open exactly? cause my kissing gourami is about half adult size..and my balas are getting to be 6 inches..but thnx i know to get a senegal now

As long as your fishes are above 3in, they should be fine

i wont be sure bout that, it depends on the personality of the fish, they might not eat the fish or can eat it,....they just bite bite, they bully around

senegal will be perfect and are most entertaining. dont be surprised when you move out other fish to make room for more bichirs

Palmas is another option,mokes and retros dont get too big either,but as said above,you will probably get rid of the other fish to get more bichirs anyway once your addicted lol

thats a somewhat fast growing bichir then huh haha

well i dont think i can get a bigger tank im only 16 so idk but id only hope i end up with 1 maybe 2 bichirs..
