i also niticed that my red devils vent tube is sticking out alotttt, she seems to also be ignoring me is this normal she used to never do this. there was a male jd with her for about 1 -2 weeks before she destryed him and i took him out. whats happening?

sounds like she's preparing to spawn...all the excess digging, vent tube sticking out further..yeah sounds like she's building a nest and wants to lay some eggs....not abnormal behavior for a female that is kept alone. they don't realize they're in a tank with no possibility of a mate coming along so she's preparing in case a male should happen to come along.
