Most petlands in the city sell them for 50-80$ for 3" fish. They don't even have very red tails.... So basically, this is a great price!

Issue is the high concentration of inexperienced fish keepers in nyc. Put that up on craigslist they'll be gone in no time. But will likely be housed in a "monster" 125 gallon tank.:irked:

Im not sure about that...I bet some kid will make his father buy him the Red tail catfish and then try to throw it into a 10 gallon tank with a new basic box cotton-carbon filter with bubbles and throw in some chlorinated water and giggle when the Red tail catfish turns upside down....:(
 
actually thats pretty cheap, i paid 100 for my big guy a few years back when he was just a pup. nice to watch them but it is killing me $ to feed them. again aquahut is a amazing pet store. don the owner is always friendly and extremly knowledgeable. i am ashamed to say i bought the redtails at country critters home of the overpriced everything and obnoxious staff. the redtails are happy and healthy right now. i have standards to be met for my potential new owner. if they cant be met they stay put
