Pacific Blue Jack Dempsey, not peanut butter and jelly dempsey

I need a tripod lol, but he's the strongest, hardiest pacific blue I've owned. Lost two before I got this guy.

He's even survived two attacks from ich (damn feeders ). I can't wait to get a tube of actinic lighting over the tank to see how that brings out his color. The plant bulb (prob 6700k) doesn't do him any justice.

how you figure its a pacific? its not a powder? how can you tell the difference and how much did you get him for? im thinkin about gettin one cuz my lfs got some dope ass ones for 30 a piece. nice fish dude

All blue dempseys are the same thing. I call them "pacific" blue's because that is what Hector Luzardo originally called them in the 80's, and I like it more than "electric" or powder....

Why is the success rate so low with this fish?

Very nice are you sure hes male as the females tend to be the ones with more solid blue.Mines much darker with a lot of black markings.
