2 spot update

no longer have the 2 spot. decided to put in the big tank with my other 2 cichla and other s.a cichlids. thought it would be ok cause it wasnt much smaller then the orino in there. it didnt make it more then 2 hours before they killed him. they didnt eat him just attacked the crap out of it. its ok i have 3 more cichla coming tomorrow that i have been really looking forward too. i didnt have a choice cause this guy would have eaten my new ones so it was going to go in the big tank this week at some point. its still sucks to always lose a fish. i will post pics of the new cichla when they arrive and get comfortable!
Wow...What a ending for your three spot "two spot" Orino........MONO!
I should post some update pics of my "two spot orinos" Which now that their pushing 5" look WAAAAAY more like two spot MONO'S by a TON!! Huge disappointment by acquascape... Probably the last time I buy from them and pay $80 plus shipping for two 1.5" MONOS.. !!!!
Anyway, felt I needed to vent about these "two spot Orinos" / what a joke!

I feel ya man. That's why I wasn't so upset it didn't make. I wasnt looking for a mono so when it started to look more like one I was a lil disappointed myself. I have 2 Rio metas and 1 Rio araguaia kelb, they are sending me in the next day or 2. I even sent them pics of the 2 spot so they could see for themselves that they aren't orinos. Hopefully they will correct it on their site. Please post pics of yours!!!

Right... If they were Orinos mine would have already showed body speckling by 5"......NONE!
Yup. I posted on their forum on there to let them know. I also sent them email with the pics too.

Here are mine. Btw, been doing some thinking. are you guys sure they are monos? I know the black line through their tail crosses off orino off the list. The head shape is similar to mono. But the thick gold around their occeli rings and gold speckles on their 2nd dorsal.. I've never seen that in Monos. Perhaps these are cichla occellaris? they are about 3.5"
was a little dark in the morning, no lights on this growout tank so I used the flash to get some color. I know, newspaper gives the tank some real character
..jk, used it to insulate the last of winter months while I ran a heater.
afternoon picture, 1st one, middle ring seems to be coming in... so much for two spot orinos
afternoon picture, 2nd one, this one has yet to see any middle spot coming in.. eyes a little more red than the other and more color. honestly, i wouldn't care what they are, if they turn out to be some nice specimens.
