If you're starting your stock with juvies, then the two 304Bs will be fine for awhile. Ultimately, you'll want to add a 3rd large filter. My 180 has been running for over 3 years now. I started out with two 304Bs and a year later, as my stock grew, I added an Odyssea 700CFS. Water is always clear and never had a single issue with water parameters.

In regards to heater: what is the typical room temp of the room your tank resides in? My 180 is in an unheated basement, where winter temps gets into the 50's. I run 3 heaters, totalling about 800W, connected to a Finnex temp controller. Holds water temp at 78F without a problem.

I run 3 x 300 wat heaters on my basement 180. I could never imagine two 304's cutting it on my tank as it is currently stocked. The flow really drops off with the media added. I run a 304, fx6, and a big sump with media along with continuous drip. I do have alot of plecos and their associated poo.

My basement is part of the main house and is heated so I don't think I'll need as much heating as you, and I think I'll go with a few sun Suns beacause there cheap and effective from what I've heard, I preordered one and it came and it seems good but j haven't set the tank up yet.

Just keep an eye on the seal for the UV, mine leaked into the quartz tube and wrecked the socket.
