here I am whoring pics of my rhom again, please do not hate me. I promise I'll try to do it less frequent if anyone complains :banhim:

oh yea and I know my glass needs to be cleaned.

The fish/water appears to be more yellow because of leach effect from my drifwoods. any suggestion to fix that??

you should post more of your 10" BDR man. "the more the better, keep them coming" :D

I will maybe over the weekend when I am not working like crazy.
I got so pissed last night. None of the 3 piranha I have had yet to eat non live, not a big deal barely had them any time at all. so last night I got the brandti to eat some tilapia, and the GDR not interested yet
I figured the BDR would not bother so I put a frozen piece in the tank thinking it would float-thaw-sink and then maybe there would be a chance and if not who cares.
well it sunk instantly the big guy put it in his mouth slightly to test it out and spit it out because it was frozen still. dumb me, I think i might be able to get him to eat tonight though. I was very excited with the fact that he already showed interest

that's good news, try to video it tape it or something if you try.
my black diamond would eat anything in the tank regardless if it's live or dead, just won't eat in front of me or if anyone is in the room. :irked:
so I do my feeding at night with all lights off and with moon light on and I creep up to the tank slowly and drop in some shrimp and back away. few minutes later he'll come out of hiding (behind one big ass driftwood) and pick up the shrimp pieces and swallow them down. still haven't tried with my blue diamond yet.

my advise, no hiding spots and then eventually he wont even want one. I give my fish tough love. there is nothing worse for me then owning a piranha that hides all day long. Trust me its happened many times and is just not fun.

I know. I really thought about take that drift out...I'll give it more time and see how it does, if no change then tough love is what it's going to get.

absolutely. My P's more active than what I hear from most serra keepers, but still he's only patrolling/fingerchasing like < 10% of the time. The rest of the time he sits in one spot and lurks. If their are feeders in the tank, he'll go after those, but he goes through them so fast I can't afford to keep him entertained.

I had to get a hiding spot for him, because he hides behind the filter tube/heater if I don't. I got like a synthetic mangrove root complex and he hangs out under it most of the time. At least I can see him all the time.
