I am still trying to convert my Mono's off live food, it's been two weeks of non- live food, and i've tried Silver Sides, Krill, Shrimp and Massivore Pellets, and there not even picking at it. How long should i hold out.....Thx in advance.

Get some other fish to teach them to eat other foods. Also try and drop small pieces by the outlet of the filter.

i have 4 wild cought pbass and when they where about 4" i tryed the method with feeders one by one and then the krill but they always stap-out the krill so i start doing live feeders and then throughing dead feeders mixed in after that worked i added fish flete in little thin strips to kinda get the same shape and size of the feeders they crush the dead stuff but only fresh and nothing dry and it weird they are picking about dead stuff but i feed them little lizards and frog all the time

if you use silversides make sure the pbass are close to the top of the tank and make sure the silversides knife through the water so it looks like a real fish. in time they should hammer the silversides. once one catches on you are golden

my basses just actually started eating frozen shrimp!!

i just peeled really small pieces and threw them in one by one...and finally they ate it...

took almost like 30 minutes just standing there and peeling them...

at 6''.....2 weeks is gettn a bit long....he is still a juvie.../get feeders...drop one at a time...drop a silverside in head first after a couple feeders.

Get some frozen tilapia, thaw and cut into "fish" shaped strips. Mine would not touch anything else, but imediately hammered the strips. Once they get used to it, you can push pellets into it.

I would echo this. My grow outs that are in with other small sa chichlids and a small aro are now eating flakes, pellets, aro sticks, etc. Even the aro is eating flakes.
