I've got two xp3's on my tank, but with all the fish, I need something a bit beefier.

If anyone is down I would like to trade both of them for an fx5 that is in good working condition.

My xp3's are clean, working great, the only damage is I cracked the handle of one basket. It's still on there, and some aquarium save epoxy would fix it up.

I sprayed the in takes with black krylon fuzion spray paint, it has been safely running on my tank for almost a year with no problems.

Let me know, thanks :)

I'm in west covina CA, 91790. xp3's will come with all original parts, foam pads, and bio balls in one tray.

I would rather run two XP3, instead of one FX5, bro. Good luck! :)

Yeah me too, it's just that the small intake of the xp3 gets a lot my plants debris stuck to them.

Maybe I should just mod the intake.

Good lookin' out with the bump brutha John! :D

I agreed, keep the two XP3s and modify the intake.

Another option is to get rid of some plants and you'll find less plant debris stucked to the intake.:D I just redid my tank to make more room for the bichir. I didn't really how much room I had in my tank until I remove all the junk decors.

Man If you were in NYC I would do that trade in a heart beat.. cant wait to get rid of my FX5!!!

What don't you like about your fx5?

well in my opinoin and not derailing this thread is you cant put nothing much in the basket..because with me it always clogs.. have it for 2 months and every week I had to clean the pads out because the flow got weak.. got tired of doing that and now all it has is Rings and eheim Bio Media.. expensive wet'dry canister! lol.. (but it has Power)

Hmm, good to know, thanks for the heads up LouieV.

I'm definitely skipping on the fx5 and keeping my xp3's then.

On top of it, it's not fun to move it out every time to clean it. 2-gal of water plus all the stuff inside makes it so heavy. With two XP3, you can alternately clean them, and your tank still have filtration all the time.
