2 year old Pearl Ray:

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks all you guys! I do not know what to look for when evaluating rays. Maybe someone could direct me to a thread that discusses that... I would like to learn.

i really like him
when it comes to evaluating rays as you say then i think there is still alot of opinions in whats nice and whats not but as it happens i came accross a website the other day that mentioned pearls ...

http://www.mijnwebwinkel.nl/winkel/stingrays/c-1008229/potamotrygon-sp-pearl/

have to say i really like the one in the link and i think the single, "unbroken pearl" look is a really good one as most pearls have multiple "pearls" in the spots or have "broken pearls" so its hard to find a really nice one.

yours is looking nice though fingers crossed it doesnt change too much

each to their own at the end of the day though lots of people like the hybrid leos with the mishapen spots some people prefer hybrids so theres allways something for everyone :)

Thanks for the info & the read. I also liked the solid pearls on him. I may see others with different looks that I like also, and knowing me I'll end up buying more!

That pearl just keeps gettn better and better.
YOu gotta find a mate for the bad boy.
Thanks for the update tomka.

He is just hording them for himself to enjoy most likely.

Well how did their arrival go?
Hope they look as good as the first one.

Everyone made it! I have to get some good pictures & I'll post them. I have been busy with work & getting my 180 gallon going. 1 little pearl is in a 75 gallon with 4 black diamonds. 2 other pearls are in the big tank with this guy. They look like they have a lot of potential. Here is one pic I got 1 day after they arrived:
