Any worries about local populations going downhill? (Wild) Just curious.

The season is short and the grabblin areas are limited to where someone can reach without any tackle or equipment. Also, if everyone is like the group I was with, only 1 of every 5 catfish found made it to our catch numbers. They're definitely NOT easy to grab hold of and keep hold of.

The bulk of these fry will go towards stocking local farm ponds. But, I'll be holding on to a bunch.

I had a 20lb flathead as a hatchery mascot. But, I sold him because the $ offered for him was outrageous. Now, I'll keep a male and female (separate tanks). I think it'll be cool to have 20+ pounders and be able to say I raised them since they hatched.
