False. Despite the fact that they look predatory, violet gobies are actually very peaceful (until they reach maturity). I have kept bumblebee gobies and guppies with one. Not once have I heard of a BBG getting eaten by a violet.
However, when the violet goby matures, it becomes very territorial. They fight with each other. From what I've heard, an adult can turn a tank of tiger barbs into a buffet. Whether the goby attacks its tankmates for food or to defend their territory may decide whether a tiny fish like a bumblebee is a suitable tankmate in the long run. If it's for food, then no, but I don't think a violet goby would view a bumblebee as a rival.
Besides, most fish that are that small would probably be able to evade a predatory violet goby pretty easily I think.
JArtist15, where will the goby be going after the 75? A 75 gal is the recommended tank size I was told for a similar fish that gets half as big, Taenioides anguillaris. You're right that your tank will be a huge improvement upon the goby's current/former FW environment, but it's important not to rush into things. It would be best to make sure you can obtain an even larger tank in the future or have somebody to take the fish off your hands if it gets too large before you get it.
