Pool & spa hoses (cut to length and use replacement cuffs), some vacuum cleaner hoses & air hose from CPAP machine work ;).

You could always buy the black sump pump hose. It is really flexible.

Sadley enough, very rarely do you get great looks with the bargain price. You might have to suck it up to get exactly what you want.
Yeah, I hear that...Champane taste, on less than a generic beer budget, makes for some hard core bargain hunting...

I been really hunting the pool supplies for gear, and found some decent deals, but, still kinda pricey because of the ammount they offer...Doc what does "CPAP" stand for?

Thats a cool looking filter
Thanks, with any kinda bio-load it should work great too...

OK got some updates....
Got the BRUT barrel full of media and the spray bar drilled and installed...
This is the righthand side overflow from inside the tank...it is made from 1" PVC, and 1.5 black water pipe and reducer with some egg crate inside for a screen...
The lefthand side one is an opposite of this one...

Looking awesome zenn! What did you use for media in the brute?

Looking great. Same idea I'm working on in a 32 gallon size for the pond. I like your drip line spraybar, going to have to steal the idea.

I would just worry that you are going to have a lot of gurgling going on with that thing. Other than that, it very cool looking.

Thanks...I used a 1/8th drill bit and starting from the end caps every 1" until the center "Tee".

So far so good, I cut a dozen slots 3/4" down from the top so to skim the top of the water. Seems to be quiet. The 2 outlets are "T'ed" together then the longer drop to under the tank, to feed the filter...

This is a great idea, what size is the tank this beast is being constructed for?
