so basically my angel fish that is in a 200 litre tank has been bullied by my other cichlids so im going to move him to my spare 90 litre tank and I was wondering if this would work
1 angle fish
2 rainbows not sure if they are m and f been at fish shop for a couple weeks without arguing
1 albino pleco
1 spiny eel
1 cockatoo cichlids
1 eletric blue ram
I know that's a lot but that's what I would want in there ? thank you in advance I know not all can go in there but that's my dream set up :)

The only fish on that list you could keep in a 20g are the aspistogramma and the rainbows. Everything else gets too big.

If the albino pleco is a bristlenose you might be ok with heavier filtration than usual. The amout of plant matter you gotta feed them runs through their digestive systems fassstttt so poop will be everywhere without a good maintenance schedule. The good news is I believe they get about 5" max instead of an ungodly 20"+ behemoth like a common or sailfin will. Maybe otocinclus would be better, they only get 2" or so. I agree with angelphish though, you would want very small cichlids for the 20 gallons. Apistos or maybe shell dwellers if you like africans. Most eels will get massive. If you like the look maybe a small loach or two could work. They need to be less than 6" and any cichlid pairs might kill anything else when breeding.

The 20 will be ok as a temporary quarantine for the angel but get him a bigger tank after you treat him for any wounds or maybe rehome him. I would even consider that 55 gallon (thats a 200l right? Lol merrica) a bit on the small side. Big angels can get around 10".

Also a 29 gallon should have the same size as a 20 long if that's the tank you have. You should be able to find one used for dirt cheap. It's just a bit taller but the extra water helps. I moved all my feeders in there and some growouts about a month or so ago and it's doing great. Might be a more stable option for a mini community.

I also had my breeding pair of convicts in there before with no issues and my male is almost 6". Maintenance was a bit harder though since convict babies are easily siphoned and that male bites hard.... I think the pair of rainbow cichlids would do great in there. They are about the same size as convicts.

Scarlet Badis, Shrimp (large and dwarf), Dwarf Puffers, Otocinclus, Tetras, Rasboras, Pygmy Cories, Killifish, Platies, Celestial Pearl Danios, Gobies (Stiphodon, Bumblebee, etc...), Guppies, Asian Stone Cats, Khuli Loaches, Rainbowfish, Apistogramma, Gudgeons, Hachetfish, Mollies, Rams, Pygmy Sunfish, and Bettas all make good nano fish. Sorry for the long list, but it gives you a lot to choose from.

Angelphish has a great list up there for you.

Do you have a 20 long or 20 tall? What are the tank dimensions? It will make a difference in the fish you can keep in there for life.

You mean rainbowfish or rainbow cichlids?
What kind of eel are you talking about?

Completely agree that your angel will need 55+ eventually.

I personally would avoid the BN pleco because their bioload is high for a fish, so they can really limit the total number of fish you can have in a smaller tank. Just depends if the BN is something you want badly enough to have fewer total fish or not.
