voted amazon without looking at the thread, but after seeing its only a 20 gallon I would say a single african mudskipper.
went w/ amazon... alot of micro fish out there.. a small school of something and some cherry shrimp or similar would be my vote.. Idk about how puffers would work.. I'de be worried about them biteing the background up. But.. I htink you hsould finish it up how you want it.. then go from there... what "feels" like it should be in there.
The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning toward a brackish SE Asian setup, completely opposite of the poll haha.
Here's an update of the tank. It's almost done. I'd like to add some lighter color to the stump and roots so that they stand out a bit, then it's time to get it set up
