20 mil liner, Dr. Joe?? or others that have used it?

ive read alot of posts saying to use 45 mil liner minimum for ponds. i want to build a cheap "temporary, 2-3 years max" garage pond for some rays. a post in another thread by Dr. Joe says to stay away from 20 mil because the uv rays will break down a 20 mil whithin 5 or so years. assuming this pond will not be subjected to uv rays, and is a temp pond, would i be a fool to use the 20 mil?

I think you answered your own question.

It breaks down in 5 years or so from exposure to UV.

You will be using it for 2-3 years with NO exposure to UV.

yeah, i think it will be fine, but having never used pond liner i have no idea on the durability of it with large fish, rays expecially.

When I built my sump I went with the 45mil over the 20mil for the added strength and peace of mind.
