I wouldn't doubt 26". Occels grow big and fast! On top of that Hugh's filtration and care can't be thought of lightly. Maybe floridas water temps aren't IDEAL for cichla. That would explain why not all sub species are able to live in floridas water year round.

dam HULON ur collection is sexy, also sorry for the losses gangster.
Here in aus biggest ive seen/heard of so far was 50cm which is 19.7" mine are only bout 18 months old personally at the moment and are pushing 14" but i didnt have them from juvenile i saved them off other people that couldn't house them any more so hard to judge the growth rate before me, but since ive had they have grown and colored like crazy in my 400... so im expecting mine to crack 20" at some point in the future, also have 3 grow outs which ive had since fry and they growing/coloring crazy!
