20 tall stock

Multies are fun little fish, wish I had room for another tank for them but I decided to go with Vics instead of Tangs.

I love my tang tank. My julies just had some fry so I'm pretty excited about that.
What Apistos have you dealt with or heard good things about? Which ones are easiest to tell male from female?

I've had two pairs in the past, both cacatuoides, one was the orange flash, the other triple red. It's extremely easy to tell the difference between males and females as they are completely different in coloration.

I would advise two females to one male and this is what I would get if I decided to keep them again.

**Edit**

My bad, I kept one pair of cacatuoides and a pair of agassizii, the agassizii were the triple red varient. And I would still go with a trio if possible.

he said interesting, not cichlid. jk.

id throw a rock fish in there. theres plenty just off the shore of almost any place with a coral reef.

or perhaps one of the smaller stargazer aspecs. search for the End all mini monster thread and away you go.

thought about a small salt tank but nixed it cuz I didn't want to stress out some fish in a 20.

I'm a cichlid junkie, what can I say :D

Non-cichlid idea! - what about a blue crayfish/lobster? I have no idea how big they get or anything, just always wanted one but never could cause of my cichlids.

That's funny you say that because I was just looking at that last night! I think we're running on the same thought process here.
