only reason i said channel is it doesn't have the same markings as a flathead, might be oddly colored, but i've never seen a flathead like that... its got channel coloring

That's some awfully dirty water... Id be doing at least a water change every 3 days with a tank overstocked that bad.

The big cat needs to be removed. the O doesn't like it, so is stressing at the sight of it. probably would hate being with it even in a huge tank. That, on top of the biological overload, is just too hard on the old man.
He deserves to be number One priority, and really needs extra pampering.

I'd probably get rid of the cat if I were you. Keep the pair of Oscars and try getting a 150 gallon.
