200 watt stealth on a 20 gallon..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ill keep that in mind thank you dirtyblacksocks

Its up and running today and works excellent :) Thanks fellas and ladies.

I'm running a 250-watt stealth on a 22-gallon-cube tank for more then a year now with no problems at all, if that makes you feel better.

I'm running a stealth 150 on a 10gallon lol

As far as heating you will be fine 100%.
The only problem that could arise is if it got stuck on (not too uncommon) It could cook your fish before you had a time to notice. Where as in a larger tank it would take longer to cook your fish and hoepfully you could correct it in time. I am fortunate to have never had a heater stick on in the 25 years I have kept fish.

Better knock on wood heavy hitter :) Yeah that's the only draw back I can see. its working great right now. Its funny I got a free ten gallon with a 25 watt (yes 25 watt ) visi therm stealth and a marineland eclipse 1 hood. This heater can barely keep the water at 78 and it running constantly. With a well enclosed hood.
