Hey I will be setting up my 2000 gallon tank shortly. Unfortunately, due to space i will have to put it in my garage. Tank is acrylic and does have some minor scratches, just wondering what you guys use to buff them out?

Thanks,
Kyle

wow cannot wait to see it... sorry i don't know how to buff out the scratches.. i know on our classic car we used very very very fine sand paper to buzz scratches out and it worked like a charm on the glass.. you cannot go to deep though or glass shatters..

Ok i will do the research, just wanted to see if you guys had any experience with getting scratches out of acrylic tanks. I do have pics on my cell phone and could send to anyone interested. Tank is at a friends house about 50 miles away.

You could try messaging JK47... he is on my profile page. He's been using some product and an electric buffer on his 300 gallon, been working very well.

Any paint and body shop can buff out the tank just like they do head lights on a car and if the scratches are on the outside and not to big the headlight compound that you can get at any automotive store to remove the white haze on headlights can be used with a soft cloth. Dont know how safe it would be on the inside of the tank but works real well on small scratches.
