Is the glass going to press against the block or just the wooden frame? If it's just the frame, I would be very worried.

The Glass Is Sitting On A Seal, Thats On The Block And The Frame Is Tapconed To The Block All Around, The Glass Won't Be Going Anywhere

I would tend to agree, a inch is more then enough. not that i would call overkill but plenty strong... and ideas on filters yet?
 
Um.....test fill was supposed to be like nearly two weeks ago. Since I am living vicariously through you on this project I need to know where "I" am at. Have I filled it yet? am I going to post up some pics for everyone to see?

You know.....help me out a little here.
