2000 Gallon Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Classic example of a big dreamer. I think if I was going to start a large build I would start it first and maybe even finish it before the first post. Of course here I am just talking about a large build, at least this guy gave it a shot…………………….

At least he was man enough to admit he gave us up for go-karting... lol

Where did he say that? I checked his posts and he said something back in 2007 about it. He was semi-active for 2 more years after that, then he dropped off the face of the planet after saying things were going to pick back up. heh.

Epic thread fail

Pretty much sums it up right there.

I am intrested - This thread is Pic Starved!

Reading between the lines way back in this thread, and doing a few quick calculations, it is likely that the glass he used was way too thin and catastrophically broke. He probably didn't want to say it, but he "went silent" at exactly the time he was to fill it with water. It was probably too hard to remake it with thicker glass and so he lost heart.
Not sure.......

Welcome to MFK. :grinno: You chose this thread to make your first post?

Good observation though, you might be right. Even still, all it would take is ordering a thicker sheet of glass and putting it in. Even the catastrophic failure of the glass breaking shouldn't hurt the structure of the tank itself. Unless his girl cut him off after 2000 gallons of water was suddenly where it wasn't supposed to be. My wife would have killed me, I think.

Well that was a waste of time. Leave us hanging way too long, don't half complete something, do it till it's done, or were where we are now, guys have built tanks that ran circles around this tank in 8 weeks, with jobs on top of it. So.. Yay.. :banhim: :irked:

3 years later, ppl are still *****ing that it's not done. Jeez ppl check the date on these things.
