I have been told that this hobby in China rake in more money than most other countries. The fish store owner said people are more willing to spend the big bucks on fish in China. I didn't know Chinese were so into bichirs. I thought Chinese only had interested in datnoids and arowanas.

There are also some crazy bichir collectors at China. I know one guy got few ansorgii and bichir bichir there (not to mention other bichirs). Actually, one importer here in TW does export expansive bichirs to China who said he got more income from China than from TW.

wild pbb are coming in one or two weeks to china, the price is no more than 500usd for a 10''. but it's from chad, i'm still waiting for the kenya pbb.
also ansorgii are flooding into china as they are in japan, and the price is on a crazy dropping, less than 200usd for a 10'' for the moment.
basilaqua is not doing very well here as there are more and more importers in china that import bichirs and other rare fish from africa and south america directly. and the price is much more cheap than basilaqua

not exactly, chinese aqua market is still relatively small, simple compared to japan, maybe we can call it "junior class"?
