I think you should get the black diamond I have one (Although sold to me as starry night cichlid) it is about 4-5 inches and it is housed with my frontosa which is about the same size, an oscar that is about 9 inches and my tire track eel which is 10-11 inches and he rarely spars with the others. It is also the most amazing looking fish i've ever had. Good luck
