ok, so im a puffer freak, i want to put all three of my puffs into one tank. i want to use this tank,

200 gallon 48 X 36 X 27 in
Take Model 4 Sump; dual Corner-Flo Perfecto

i want to divide it into thirds, i want to do a 150 section in the middle for the fahaka, and the corners 25 a piece for my congos. what do you guys think? whats the best way to do this? has anyone done this?

I would suggest either using acrylic or glass pieces, then just silicone them in. I would use acrylic so that you could drill a few holes in it to allow for water movement.

As long as you took your time, I think it would look like it was part of the tank. It is all about patience and perfectionism. LOL

Thickness all depends on the type of fish you are putting in there. If they are not glass bangers. I would just go with 1/4" acrylic. Shouldn't get too expensive with 1/4".

As for cutting slits, you could use a table saw or a circular saw. You just have to watch gettin the acrylic too hot that it melts. The last time I cut acrylic, I used a jigsaw, but I was replacing a car window, it didn't have to be exactly straight. Use a sharp blade.

Instead of plexi you could use fluorescent light grid panels. Like what they use in an office building or in a kitchen. It would allow water flow and work great as long as your fish can't get through a 1/2" (aprox) hole. Home Depot has them. They're plastic and relatively easy to cut.

Yeah, I forgot about using eggcrate. It sorks well unless you are going for asthetics.

no, this is going to be my puffer show tank. lol. now with 1/4" plexi, will it crack and bust when i cut it?

I would come a foot from each side give each congo a 12x36x27 and the fahaka a 24x36x27 tank space but I don't know how big each puffer gets. I would also do a 125 if u are goin to divide it into 3rds for more length.
