Though I'd love if someone had a clear enough pic of that P. bass to post in the Cichla folder for an ID. I was guessing in the 27"-30" range as well, but those ripples made both the size and pics tough.

I believe those Cichla in that tank are Cichla temensis.. They used belong to a friend of mine. (TheTrust) They went from his 250, to Ted's 8500 (Anythingfish), and then finally to Michael's shop. I know a few of the big fish in the store including the Pima all came from Ted's tank..

I am really sad I couldn't make it... I have a hard time getting away from the kiddos (ages 2 months and two years - couldn't bring them along), plus I had family up from CA on Saturday.

I'm glad you guys had a great time and it is cool to see some members' faces!

Did he get out of the hobby entirely? I emailed him a month or so after he and I did that group buy and he had already sold them and shut down the tank. Was kinda sad, as there were a few he had that I would have like to buy.

He's not totally out of the hobby but close.. Doesn't have many left.. He does have a nice koi pond now though..
