I've heard that snakehead has a firm white flesh that is not "fishy" tasting at all. I would love to try it.

I attended and fished the tournament. We did not catch a snakehead on hook and line but did manage a ~7# bass! There were ~12 snakeheads caught via hook and line and an absolute ton of fish caught via bow and arrow (one team had over 63#s of snakehead). The largest snakehead caught was ~15#. I am pretty sure I had 2 snakeheads on the line and got bit off both times (using 30# braid) - a much different hit then bass on topwater. On the food front - I would equate snakehead to flounder - delicious! they had snakehead spring rolls and deep fried snakehead. They also had catfish dishes as well, but the snakehead tasted better - literally zero fishy aftertaste once you were done eating.

Cool sounds like it was a good time. Sounds like you guys got rid of some snakeheads. I would love to try and eat some snakeheads.

broke 30 lb braided test?? yeah thats a snakehead. Went fishing for them a few years ago. they broke our 30lb test again and again.
