Compared on paper a lot faster but on track I'm not so sure. Porsche set the record about a month or so ago and I've yet to find anything saying they ran a faster time. Everything just says they attempted it but ran 7:04 laps. That's still a 7 second difference.

It says they did at the end of the video, but I couldn't find a lap time anywhere. Sounds a little fishy to me, but going to the trouble of producing a video like that without having a lap time to back it up seems kinda crazy?
I know I seen that video a few days ago and I started to look into it to see what was the time and couldn't find nothing. I think they are trying to tune the p1 to run a faster lap. Or maybe it's just to compete with Porsche.

Controversy at the ring eh, always seems to involve Porsche, like then they claimed Nissan BS'd the time for the GTR so the Nissan driver took out the Porsche it had beaten and beat their drivers time...
Patiently awaiting the new SRT-10 ACR. Rumors of 750 horses in a next to track ready car. Will it be as classy or civilized, no. But it will be fast as hell!

Nissan is trying to jump in the ring too with the new gt-r. They want to compete with both Porsche and mclaren. The new viper idk if it will keep up. On paper it looks like it could but the last vipers had very crappy handling at high speeds. Even though the ring doesn't really have many fast sweeping turns.
