Nice tank!

Those would both be pretty awesome. Too bad stingrays and bass aren't available here, and heckels are about $200 each. I've also never seen pencilfish for sale. Damn remote country.

"Earth to Kinbote, Earth to Kinbote"...........Scuba diving in that tank of yours, while taking more photos to post on MFK right? But seriously, I hope everything's going alright.:D

Honestly I wouldn't put tannins in artificially, waste if you ask me. I got a piece of soft dark drift wood and it turns the tank the color of tea (110 gallon) in about 1 week. Just look for some softer dark drift wood they will bleed into your tank indefinitely I've had this piece of wood for 3 years now and I boiled it when I got it, pretty small.

Are your Hoplos doing better now? How are your Rosy Tetras doing in your EXCELLENT tank? Just a note also : I had my Red Eye Tetras in a tank that had fine black sand, and a few drift wood that had a bit of tannis coming from it. After only a few days they all looked a shiny gray/tan color. Since then they were moved to another tank. It's been about 5 days now, and they still have the odd discoloration. I hope this won't happen to your Tetras.

Great looking tank, should be interesting to see it once its fully stocked...
