20g hex ideas?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks, yes I’ll definitely let a good amount of biofilm grow first. I think for the strong current I can throw an AC70 on or even a sunsun 304b if they like extreme current.

Another idea I’m rolling around is hillstream, peacock gudgens and fork tail rainbows. I’ve never kept these either , so do you have an idea if this is a good option?

Maybe Endler's Livebearers or Chocolate Gouramis?

Probably not gouramis but endlers are a possibility

Chocolate gouramis like to be kept alone and they are smaller than rams. They are kinda rare. I've seen them in planted tanks at my LFS and they have them in like 10 gallons and less tanks. You could also do Celestial Pearl Danios.

Ya gouramis are cool, I’ve just had lots of them over the years. CPDs are also cool, I just think they’re a little too darty for the limited horizontal space.Same with most tetras, that’s also my concern with the fork tail rainbows

Got the scape done other than some plants I’ll add later. Added cycled media and a little goo from a canister and some stability for good measure along with a few pieces of krill to add waste. I’m still not sure what I’m adding other than stiphodons and hillstreams later on, so I’m heading to the LFS tomorrow to see what catches my eye

Late to the party but I think if that were mine I'd probably put a single Marmorkreb in that wood and rock pile and a few marbled hatchets at the surface. The two would likely never meet and that would be as good as it gets. The Marmorkreb would never stop hunting and would probably never get one.

I had to look up what a Marmorkreb was lol
I call them crawdads or crayfish. If I went that route, I’d probably go with a blue lobster
