Was not aware that they would not develop the bulbous head. How do you select one that will not develop that as they grow later?

I look for juveniles that have almost no kok at all and hope like hell it doesn't over develop as they mature lol. No way to know for sure, but they don't all natually grow massively stupid kok. Mix of genetics and whatever they feed them over there to encourage it.

Even finding a juvie without an already large kok is extremely difficult.

I raised and bred FH at 3 to 4in in a 20 long for a month he will be fine you know just stay on WC. At a young age he will become more confident in the smaller tank
I would actually recommend FH to start in smaller tanks to become confident in his surroundings until they get bigger and more confident
