20lbs of ceramic rings enough for 250g tank?

Wow, I thought 35Lbs was not enough under my BioBalls.
Guess I am good... now to up the stock little by little :D

20lbs does not look like that much cause my 35lbs from Charlie didnt look like that much. Just covered the bottom layer of a 100gl 5' sump (60% or so of the floor with one layer, about 3 feet)

way more efficient than ceramic rings and has nitrate reducing properties.

You should work for Seachem.
Can get behind this stuff housing colonies to process ammonia and nitrite, pretty much anything can do that..
Not understanding what it can do to lower nitrate though.

I used to be in the "TON" of bio media army, but did a few tests and found it really was not needed.
I know there is no amount of typing that will change some peoples minds and they will continue to pour mounds of bio media into sumps and filters.
It dosen`t hurt anything except the wallet.

Matrix is, for all intents and purposes, the equivalent of artificial live rock.

Unless I missed it (in a rush right now) but I didnt read anything about having to replace it after a time frame.
So is this stuff a one time buy like Ceramic Rings? Just rinse with aged/fish water when you clean the sump?

Ill have to read the whole thing when I get a chance...
