You guys are right!!! I am going to pass on this tank. Its too much work for me and if not fixed correctly, problems will occur. Thanks again my fellow MFK friends, you guys are awesome!!!:headbang2

Happy Holidays!!!

Younglin, do you think installing something like Cornerbead(but preferably a sharp corner to sit flush in the corner) in that corner any sealing all the edges would be effective?

I dont mind having it with that price, though I would ask for more discount.
a silicon glue should do the job, but its up to you still.

I have a couple chips like this in my 20 gallon. It is a super old tank and I got it for free. It has held up just fine and I have had it filled for over a year. However I dont care if it cracks one day or leaks everywhere because It is just in my garage holding java moss. So Its not like it would be a disaster if i came home to it broken.

If you put two intersecting pieces of glass in the corner to take the pressure off the chip, it will hold just as well as normal. Even better if you do it right. By adding the extra glass the force that would be put on the chip is put on the whole pain. Therefore nullifying the weakness. I worked in a LFS for a year and we repaired tanks like this ALL the time. Even did a 450 gal tank once with that method and the tank is still up and running. Has been for two years.
