210 gallon CA/SA growout log

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Four, one male three females. You can see all of them in the group shot, male in the middle, two females in the back and one to the left. Got them from JK47 who got them from the WetSpot I think. Having two actinic bulbs on the tank really makes their blue stand out.

They all look great Modest Man! I think in a couple more months the Bocourti may steal the show. He is starting to color up. I have been thinking about getting that species for a while now. Great job with all of them. Do you still have the Godmanni?

Yeah, the godmani is still in there. Pretty small though, not very quick growing. Not sure why I didn't upload a photo of it.

The funny thing with the myrnae is that she never looked this good with a male. When breeding she would get really drab...and they bred continuously. She lit up like a lemon once the male was killed. I know there are a couple more males available, but I need to get rid of some carpintis before I add one so I need the male to pick a female. Then I'll get rid of two carpintis, two festae, and pick up a male and probably just keep a pair of myrnae in a 29 gallon so I can raise some fry.

Awesome, can't wait man. Can we tell I'm addicted to cryptos?

That's very interesting that she was never that colorful with a male, because my experience is that even with males most female cryptos will still light up for a day or two before spawning. hmm.
