I'm buying a 210 gallon tank I need to know whats the best filter I can get for the price fx5 are pricey and would probably need 2 of them whats your thoughts?

Sump if it is drilled would be your best bet. Is it drilled for overflows?

if not drilled, maybe a combo of 2 xp3's(amazon, $105) or an xp3 and 2 or 3 ac110's, depending on stock that should be "enough", and it would have good flow, another IDEA,,,,xp3+ a couple of sponge filters ,run on powerheads for flow,, these combo's should all save money over the 2 fx5's

agreed, more circulation = less waste on tank bottom, any powehead is a nice addition
What's your budget? Xp3 and 2 ac110 should be good. You can find xp3 for 50-80 used and ac110 35-45 used each.
Even if not drilled, a sump still wins for me.
And I run a 210. Sump cost me about $225 to build and currently pumps around 1200gph.
