210 gallon Frontosa tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Filter = 75 gallon modified with pot scrubbies, also 2 hang on back marineland emperor 400's

Carbon, biological, etc all covered

Sand was pool filter sand, a ton of that - many 50 lb bags, like 8 or so, and then I got the black + coral arognite == that filled in and covered the sand color of the pool filter so It looks
as if just the aragonite + coral sand was there, but it just blended and shunned the sand color

also have a H.O.T. Magnum filled with carbon on that b1tch

so as much carbon as I could fit, bio all up in the 75 sump (pot scrubbies) and --- mechanical filtration is the hardest, but I got a micro sponge on the intake to the pump - needs changed 1x a day because it's such a fine sponge

Like the sand too and nice colony. I'm surprised your fronts are so aggressive, mine are very calm - have 5 leleupi in with them and they've never bothered them at all.

Which color sand do you prefer? White or Black sand?

What is the pricing for adult frontosa mpimbwes?

Sent from my iPhone using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

Pricing for adult wild caught mpimbwe is usually 85 - never less then 65 - I would never pay more then 85

Sand, I like a substrate that affects the PH/Hardness - But for aesthetic qualities the black aroganite (spelling?) is very nice, I'm so pleased with it - and it's usually not that hard to find
(african cichlid gravel)

Pool filter sand, directly from a pool store, is quite nice too - thats what I still have and had initally - the black/white gravel covered the tan sand color completely
It's cheap, large grain and heavy, due to siphon and sand storms it's quite a nice product - really just sits at the bottom - Just gotta rinse it good!
