If you have the money to go ahead and order a new one if you were already planning on that it might be better. It all depends on how much work you are willing to go to to save money. For me saving money is almost everything... My husband and I make a living, but compared to most we have very little to go around. Yet because I find really cheap deals and fix them up I have been able to afford to have multiple big tanks in a hobby that everyone jokes you need to money to be in. I am selling off some of my tanks to afford a build I am doing, but the three big tanks (a 90g, 120g, & 150g) I will have left after I got for a total of $40. 2 of the three I had to build my own stands for and resilcione, (not figured into the $40) but I could never ever have afforded those tanks new. However, they are also in an unfinished basement where they wouldn't do much damage if they did leak. If you have the money and are concerned about your carpet just buy new.
