210 stocking ideas?

I would do maybe a Severum or 2, and maybe a pike, and a big SD group. You have a lot of room to work with.

x2 on the vote for the Flag tail prochidulis. They are fantastic cleaners and stunning in a home aquarium.

I'd also vote to throw in a Blue Acara.

With the large footprint you have and your existing stock, you have all sorts of options as far as stocking is concerned!

Your 210 is a good tank to stock the type of fish you are looking at. Be careful if you do go with the Bocourti. They can grow quite large. Mine is 14.5" now :D

I will muddy the water and suggest Herichthys. You could have two breeding pairs in your 210 of some of the rarer species. These fish are getting less and less common in their native mexico because of environmental factors and agricultural runoff into the river system. Bartoni, Deppi, Minkleyi (if you can find them), and the labridens complex are all awesome, aggressive, smaller growing and prolific breeders.

Ok, so far I'm liking vieja synspilum, gold severums, chocolate cichlids and a couple of the Herichthys (love the Bartoni). Just have to figure out what I'm doing exactly. I could also put a couple of the smaller types in my 125 that is now empty, moved my O's last weekend over to the 210 and they are loving it.

Koi9, what type of cats were you thinking of? Something different would be cool..

As long as you don't have anything that will get big enough to eat them, i think you should look into the smaller american cichlids like Rainbows, honduran red point (siquia), firemouth, sajica, or keyholes. some medium sized cichlids that would probably work are acaras and severums. You could also look at convicts and salvini, but they will be more agressive and breeding pairs can do some damage as i'm sure you know.

If you're intrested in plecos, i'm always a big fan of the bristlenose. But if you wanted something bigger I really like royal plecos (panaque) and gold nuggets (Baryancistrus).
