210 Stocking

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've heard a lot of good things about them and I hear they have great personalities however I'm not much of one for puffers. Thanks for the suggestion though. Feel free to keep them coming

I used to feel the same way until I got my hairy puffer and found how interactive it is with me, and that is from a lurker. A nice active puff like a Fahaka would be pretty cool. So I would have to second the shot down suggestion. lol

Gar. Spiney eels. Pike cichlids, festea. Anything thats gonna max 18"-20" or really bendy lol. I found most non fish people like planted tanks. They aren't interested in a single fish in an empty set-up.. Wolf fish also comes to mind...and its gonna live with you... Get what you like.

Imo. 210 isn't large enough to house an adult fire eel that can reach 36"+ but that can take 5-10yrs to reach. Plenty of other species that max 18-24" and can be commed if you want more then one fish in the tank. Black spotted leapord or m dayii is one of my favorites still and it gets along the 24" side. Very similar to the tire track but develops spots vs the zigzag pattern.

So, it's a no-go on the fire eel. What do you think about an Ornate Bichir or Lap? I've always had large American Cichlids but, I'd really like something that gets larger than your average cichlid.
