Finally got keys to my house, just bf xmas.
Today was the first day of work, not on the tank but isolating gas , water and electrical supplies so the inside can be safely ripped out.
the basement floor incorporates 2 large cellars and a large utility room. unfortunately the floor is made of stone flags which are all over the place!.so these will have to come up, a damp coarse put down and 4" concrete with insulation underneath.this will delay the start of the build as its not a 2 min job.
I will be hoping these works will be done mid jan and to start the tank build straight after. The tank build itself shouldn't take long to do as i have a joiner and plumber as soon as they are needed.
am looking at a week to build the tank, seal it and including all pipework and electrics.so if all goes to plan should be ready to fill end of jan/ beginning of feb.
still cant decide on 2 x 4x3.5ft or 1 big viewing window @ 8x 3.5ft?- the dimensions of the tank will be 14 x5ft. using 2 windows i can get a extra center support for added strength, but one window will look better?the cost will be about the same i think.
