id go an argentea and like two pairs of convicts and maybe a green terror

I am seriously considering an Argentea, just trying to see if the dynamics would work. I actually do want a convict, just not a typical one. A LFS near me has some of the yellow strain fry that I might consider. The terror is a fish that I have not considered yet, they are the lookers when they are big!

so much hate for my gravel.

The gravel is just fine.... seems to have a calming effect on the fish, maybe we all need to switch.
