in front of my cichla tank,IL
finally got all my cichla and silver aro out of their grow out tank into the 210Gallon tank.
they are all doing good they have been in the tank for about 2weeks and the tank has beent set up fro about a month and a half and had 3 sengalus, black oscar, and 3plecos in there before the pbass and aro went in. i just put the aro in 2day. i am ordering a black background from foster and smith because i cant find one the proper size that i need at any lfs. and the canopy is almost done because i messed up and didnt like how it came out so im working on a new one. it just needs to be varnished. here are some pics but the water is still a lil brownish yelllowish from the driftwood.

I second this. Get black spraypaint (I prefer the high temp stuff used for painting engine parts) and spray the back of the tank. A $3 can of spraypaint goes a lot further than blackround that runs $3 a foot.

Beautiful fish in any case!

yup the high temp stuff is good just make sure you cover your filtration and the top of your tank.. if for some reason you can't spray indoors :D you can always use a brush and with about 2 coats you won't even see any brush strokes. the best part about painting the back of your setup is that you won't get the water drips between the background and the glass, as we all know this is very common when owning cichla annnndd the paint never falls down and needs to be taped back up.

look @ them glo...... very nice indeed
