UPDATE: DRT removed all their equipment this korning. The floors are saved and look no worse for the ware. Now I just wait for them to send me a bill. But we will be cleaning and setting the furniture back up tonight. Well on the way to being over this disaster. Thanks to everyone who helped me stay positive along the way!

How's the girl is she better now?

She's alot better. Bit it didn't come cheap. I'll post pics of how I pacified her later...lol

It could be worse my friend just blew up his motor in his car my other hobby 14k later its still sitting in the garage. I was going to buy a used 180 but now I am buying a new 125 for my Jag pair since 75 isn't cutting it anymore.

It's been really sad reading the full thread of this post / incident. myself and my family pray to give you strength to overcome your loss.

Moving forward, your new tank build looks great -

electricblueseanburch - appreciate if you could give some advice... on your tank, which exploded, reason being - i am planning to make a tank myself very similar to yours, appreciate your advice for the build.

Thanks for the kind words! I know nothing about building tanks, my only advise would be do your research and make sure everything is level. And also on a solid surface. I believe my house settled abruptly causing the failure of the center brace. The new tank is on a concrete slab. Good luck!

I just read your whole thread, too. I'm sooooo soooo sorry for all you went through, your fish, your tank, your marriage, and home. I can't imagine how difficult that was but I'm certainly glad to see your outcome after the event. Did you ever end up getting the new tank for your fish or are they still with your friend? Thomas survive?

Jez sorry to hear this. I've the same size tank and would be devastated as well if this happened. Glad to hear your wife is ok now. I'd hate to see my wife's reaction to ruining her nice wooden floor. I'd say me and the remaining fish would be out on our ear!!
