220 gal. headache

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I wouldn't be looking out the window every 10 sec. that is too time consuming. I'd just setup a lawn chair out front, grab a beer and wait. :D :D :D

so the tank came. substrate is in, filter is up, ready to rock. pics will be up by week's end

having trouble with the pics but it's up and running.

FYI: for those of you that like the fluval fx5's, i just got one for $200 on ebay. a guy has a few for sale and if you're on the east coast, the shipping isnt bad. it's costing me $210 altogether.

So i'm receiving the extra FX5 so i'll have 2 running on this. I am also waiting on my estes black sand for the motoro... and last but not least, I am expecting my Tigrinus and 3 red-tailed cudas by week's end. The only thing that I wont have is my black aro... I am looking for a juvie. everybody has 8" or more. oh well. I'll find one eventually. so my final stock list will be as follows:

1 Tig
3 red-tailed barracudas
1 cichla monoculus
1 motoro stingray
1 black arowana (not until I find a juvenile or my other guys get big enough to deal with a 10" one)

And I'm using only 1 on my 220 and thats more than enough for me - :)

thank you. right now i'm using flourish fertilizer to keep these mother plants happy but I am trying to figure out how i'm going to get a steady flow of CO2 in there. I have the cheap method that involves the sugar and the activators but i want a less messy solution to this. still waiting on the tigrinus baby and the red-tailed cudas. i'll keep the tig in a 30 gal. to grow out. are they fast growers?
