I love seeing you did a lot of DIY! Thats awesome. King Of DIY lights I see you have there. I need to get this done. Whats your tank deminsions and also your lights? I was thinking dual but I see your running a single so hows the light output?

I need to do this! I have similar dimensions I need to make a 71" pipe as well for my tank. I'll make one to see if its bright enough for my liking.

It's just a 5' long piece of 4" PVC pipe... plumbed up to a 1200GPH pump... it has the first 6-8" filled with floss for mechanical filtration the rest is filled with lava rock for bio media... I also cut up one of the pads from the HOB filter on my 55 and put that in there to seed the bacteria... it seems to be working well... :)

Must be a pain to clean though due to location. I wanted to do that setup but I hate taking things apart more of a sump guy myself.
