220 gallon filtration.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
here is the latest. just finished cutting all the mechanical filter pads. Right after I Removed 25 fry from my yellow lab! Anyways I got all the bio filters together I will put all this together tomorrow. Tomorrow I will get the sump in place under the fish tank and start plumbing everything in!!! We'll see how far I get.....

my 2 cent thought.. why not utilize that space underneath the bio balls... get some laundry bags and pack it with matrix and you have the 2 world of bio..

I actually have 8 media socks 12" x 4" full or matrix rock Eheim substrate, carbon and those Fluval bio rings. They are all located in the baffle between the return pump and the bio balls.

looks good. I would like to do this with my 220 some day. Clean and professional look.

My two cents worth, I have 150's and 120's all connected to 50-100 gallon sumps in the basement and even though heavily stocked with rays and loaches and pleco's, water quality has never been an issue.
I over feed often for growth, do frequent water changes with no problems with water variance during the changes.
Just a thought.

There are going to be 3 cabinet doors on the bottom to access the filter. Also a top hatch the width of the tank to access the top of the tank. We also made a door on the right of the tank witch gives me access to the tank on the right side through the laundry room. On the left had side there will be a bookcase that opens like a door giving me access to the left side of the tank where the heater is placed!
