was that ge I silicone? couldnt really tell from the pics. Hey performance not looks, right? haha, my sump build looked similar with the seals, i figured hey doesnt have to be pretty as long as they stay in place. What thickness glass did you use for the baffles? also, to figure it out with water levels and power outtages, just fill your tank with no return pump on, and when the sump gets to the desired level, thats where you stop filling. no need for equations. then when you turn your pumps on, take a sharpie and mark where it drops to, then that will be your top off level. no more worries about overflowing your sump. Looking real good though, I like the stand and canopy, sorry if you mentiond but what are the dimensions of the tank?

Yes, it was GE 1, 100% silicone. Supposedly reef safe, but you'd never know by the smell it makes....I can't wait for it to cure so the smell goes away. The glass isn't very thick, I believe it's 5/32" but I'm not too worried. The baffles aren't really load bearing. The tank is 72"x24"x30". Thanks for the tips and compliments, I'm excited to get this monster cycling in the very near future.

Yeah, its a standard 55. Middle section is going to be for the fuge, skimmer, gfo reactor, and a return pump on either end. Pumps should arrive tomorrow now that I think about it.

It looks really good to me. It will look sexy when its all full of coraline. Whats with the egg crate on the bottom? Is it to secure it?

I changed the scape and finished the sump build. The rubble and pumps are in place, and the GFO reactor is mounted. The section on the right is where the skimmer will sit. Plumbing is all dry fit, ill glue it soon. To answer your question, the eggcrate served two purposes. First, it replicated my tank footprint so I could design a scape. Second, it will protect the glass when I move the rock into the DT. Not necessary, but I have nightmares about dropping a rock and smashing the glass. I know, I'm paranoid. Lol Let me know what you guys think about everything so far, I'm pretty happy with how things are looking.
